Anilag is a shortened word for “Ani ng Laguna,” which literally means “harvest of Laguna.”
Basically, the Anilag festival is one of the programs when Laguna celebrated it foundation day some years ago.
Today, Anilag is a full blown, week-long festival which centers on thanksgiving for the prosperity their thriving agriculture has provided them.
