Calamba City, Laguna although known for its tourist spots has this historical site that everyone should come and visit to have a remarkable stay in the city. The city is known for the birthplace of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, and here lies his house which is recognized by everyone.
Jose Rizal’s Shrine takes everyone a glimpse of the past of the Rizal’s lifestyle and journey and a reflection of Jose Rizal’s humble beginnings towards heroism and his feat of becoming an important icon of our country.
This ancestral abode is one of the most visited tourist spots in the city. Situated near the St. John the Baptist Church, this was just the replica of the original ancestral house due to its destruction during World War II. On the 1950s, President Epidio Quirino ordered its reconstruction through the help of the National Artist Juan Nakpil. There are still original parts of the house existing including the well which served as a wishing well to the tourists.
I bet everyone who visits this place takes an instant travel back to the past and will surely remember Jose Rizal’s journey to what he became today. Every part the house narrates its own story that everyone should know. Visiting Jose Rizal house makes everyone get close to him
which cannot be done by just reading books about his life.

Good day Ma’am/ Sir,
In behalf of my groupmates we would like to ask for your kind help. We are BS Psychology students from Our Lady of Fatima University. We were tasked by our professor in our subject, Sikolohiyang Pilipino, to create a documentary that is all about historical places such as the Rizal Shrine for better understanding of Filipino Psychology as influenced and reinforced by our history and as a reminder to our generation as well. May we ask for the contact number and contact person to whom we can send a formal letter, as we also intend to conduct an interview for the said documentary. Thank you very much for your kind response.
